What you’ll do:
We are recruiting for up to 4 Part Time Trainee Mainline Train Drivers for our East Ham depot only, expected to start Late Spring/Early Summer 2021. In this job, you will be responsible for driving our passenger trains along our route during our daily Peak service. A flexible approach is required to cover a rotating shift pattern of early and late shifts. Early shifts 04.00am – 11.30am, late shifts are – 14.30pm – 21.30pm. You will be working 20hrs a week, four days out of seven, average of 5hrs per day. You must live within one hour’s travel of our East Ham depot, as you are required to get to the depot and home by your own means.

Things to consider:
There are 2 stages to this recruitment campaign, the first is an all day assessment centre with our Occupational Psychologists to sit a number of Train Driver psychometrics assessments. The assessments centres will be taking place in February 2021. Candidates who meet the required pass standard will then be invited to a face to face interview with our Driver Management team.
Any offer of employment is subject to a candidate passing the current Train Driver medical standard including (but not limited to) eyesight, hearing, ECG testing, drugs and alcohol screening, a DBS (disclosure barring system check), referencing and a right to work in the UK check. Potential candidates should also note that random drug and alcohol tests may be performed at any time throughout your career at c2c.
