We have an exciting new opportunity for an Accounting Assistant FTC based within Finance, as part of our Accounting & Control team, based at our Support Centre in Dunstable, Bedfordshire. Reporting into the Finance Manager you will responsible for processing journal transactions, executing end of month process, preparing balance sheet reconciliations to ensure reliable, timely and accurate information is provided to key stakeholders.

What you will be doing:


  • Executing the month end process and posting journals
  • Ensuring P&L lines owned are well understood, with timely insight provided at month-end and key reporting periods i.e. Year End and Half Year
  • Support the wider team including the Asset and Overheads Analysts
  • Provide proactive analysis to support issues that arise 
  • Process timely reconciliation of Balance sheet accounts with thorough understanding of the balances and any risks and opportunities
  • Address all review points in a timely manner
  • Liaison with third party service providers and ensuring data integrity

  • Experience of working within an accounting administration or assistant role 
  • Good analysis skills and experience  
  • Experience of working within a large organisation within a Finance function  
  • Ability to design and produce financial reports 
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
