Accounts Assistant - Part Time 21 hours

We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our growing team at Pendragon PLC.

The role of Accounts Assistant is a varied and interesting opportunity covering Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Credit Control duties with some cashiering aspects. Working in a small team you’ll assist in the day to day workings of the Accounts department; helping to process the paperwork, allocate payments and answer queries along with month end nominal ledger reconciliations.

What does the role of Accounts Assistant involve?

  • Purchase Ledger duties; liaising, on behalf of the dealership, with the suppliers of goods and services provided, processing and accurately completing purchase invoices on time
  • Sales Ledger duties; basic debt control and recovery, processing and allocation of warranty credits and manufacturer bonus credits through the system
  • What do you need to succeed as Accounts Assistant?

  • Experience within an accounts department and in the areas of both Purchase and Sales Ledger or an interest in developing a career within accountancy
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • The ability to meet strict deadlines
  • A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly computer literate and have experience of working with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
