Assistant Project Worker Requirements:

We’re looking for you if you’re someone who is looking for a meaningful job that makes a difference in the community, whilst being provided with flexibility and real potential for growth.

We're looking for someone to join the saha family to work at our East Sussex Young Mothers Service (ESYMS) & Newhaven Foyer to motivate young people to recognise and unlock their talents to enable them to achieve their full potential.

You will assist the key worker for the residents of the ESYMS. Taking an assets based approach you will coach them to identify their skills and talents both as a young woman and Mother, helping them to transition into move on accommodation while keeping safeguarding principles and practices at the core of your work.

Proven ability to work with engage and relate to young people aged 16-25 years old is essential. Experience of working with babies or children and safeguarding is desirable.

Our aim is to support people in achieving their full potential. We are currently going through a large period of growth and have a vacancy for Assistant Project Worker.

Location: East Sussex Young Mothers Service (ESYMS) Eastbourne & Newhaven (mainly Eastbourne based but cover in-between the 2 required on occasion)

Job type: Part time, 12 months Fixed Term Contract

Hours: 24 hours per week including every other Saturday and on calls

Salary: £10,882.56 per annum (£18,137.60 FTE), paid monthly
