Assistive Technology & Knowledge Management Lead (Medico-Legal) 

Bush & Company is the largest and fastest growing provider of expert witness, immediate needs assessment and case management services in the UK. For over 30 years we have provided a service to injured people, to solicitors and to insurance companies. We specialise in catastrophic and serious injury cases and are happy to act on referral from the injured person or by instruction from the Claimant or Defendant representative. 

Position: Assistive Technology & Knowledge Management Lead 
Location: Daventry 
Job type: Part Time, Permanent 
Hours: 22.5 hours per week; any 3 days of Mon - Fri with at least 1 day a week in the Daventry office. 
Salary: £33k - £36k per annum 

About the role: 

The objective of the role is to act as the SME for Bush & Co (B&C) for clinical, technological, product and service developments in the medico-legal sector. 

Responsibilities: 

- Bullet point the key accountabilities for the role. 
- Responsible for researching clinical, technological, service and product advancements and up-skilling the Case Managers and Expert Witness consultants via webinars, training and e-updates. 
- Keep the paragraph library and any future sources of information for Expert Witnesses up to date by reviewing existing content and updating as required. 
- Work with marketing team to produce articles on product, clinical service and technology developments to position B&C as thought leader in the field. 
- Develop a knowledge bank, and implement methods to share information with multiple stakeholders. 
- Attend industry events to support on-going CPD. 
- Support consultants in producing best in class reports and an awareness of leading clinical developments 
- Assist in the recruitment of Experts as required. 
- Review Immediate Needs Assessment (INA) and other templates as required to ensure they are up to date. 
- Manage the supply chain and yellow pages for B&C. 
- Support projects as required. 
- Attend presentations / meetings with customers as required. 
- Expand the continuous improvement and lessons learned ethos across B&C. 

About you: 

- Strong understanding of medico-legal advancements relating to catastrophic injury, and a keen interest in its on-going evolution. 
- Worked in the field of Assistive Technology (AT) either academically or in a hands-on role. 
- Knowledgeable, with insight to current research activity and innovations in the market. 
- Ability to think laterally and spot opportunities to improve practice. 
- Good communicator both orally and in the written form, with very good attention to detail. 
- Confident with ability to articulate cost / benefits, impact and outcome of utilising AT for B&C clients. 
- Ability to work autonomously from home with at least 1 office day in Daventry per week. 
- Assertive and capable of translating complex information to individuals at all levels. 
- Positive approach, committed to own CPD and supporting colleagues with theirs. 
- Passionate about the role of AT in rehabilitation and improving quality of life. 

Desirable: 

- Sound commercial acumen. 
- Driver, with access to a car.
