Here at Nestlé Product Technology Centre (PTC) we are recruiting for an Associate Innovation Specialist to join our accelerator team on a 6 months fixed term contract based at our York offices. The accelerator team are a forward-thinking, creative team responsible for developing new product ideas and turning them into real products that are sold to consumers as part of real-world shop tests .The team are responsible for understanding consumer trends and market insight to identify the next big things consumers want. This really is a unique and exciting opportunity to be part of something that is pushing the boundaries of how innovation is done in the confectionery space.

A day in the life of an Associate Innovation Specialist
We are looking for an individual who is truly excited by innovation and has a passion for developing new products that will delight consumers. Working as an integral part of the accelerator project team no two days will be the same; you may find yourself interviewing consumers, launching social media experiments, analysing insights, generating product ideas; doing whatever it take to develop successful products to sell to consumers in a shop test. We will bring your speciality skills to our innovation process, strengthening the ideas we build.
What will make you successful?
We’re building a multi-disciplinary core team for our next accelerator project and are open to candidates qualified to degree level in a wide range of disciplines such as innovation, entrepreneurship, marketing, design, engineering, business, food science etc. What is really important to us is finding a candidate with a pro-active, tenacious and results-focused attitude. A lot of the work will be new to you so a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn are essential. You will love to embrace new ways of working and bring new perspectives to our core team. If you have some experience working in the innovation space this is a bonus but not essential - we will support your learning on the job.
This really is a fantastic opportunity to join a newly created team that’s acting as a pioneer for our confectionery business to drive world class innovation whilst giving you experience into the front end ideation and innovation processes of how some of the world’s most love brands are created.
