Position: Family Engagement Worker
Location: HMP High Down, Sutton
Job type: Part Time, Permanent
Hours: 4 hours per week (on a Sunday), with the possibility to work additional shifts across the family services at HMP High Down
Salary: £10.55 per hour

Pact is a national charity which supports people affected by imprisonment. They provide practical and emotional support to prisoners' children and families, and to prisoners themselves.
The purpose of this role is to develop and maintain positive relationships between prisoners and their loved ones. This is a busy service, booking all the social visits at HMP High Down via the telephone, website and in-person booking forms. A vital part of the role is providing support, reassurance and information to prisoners’ families, in particular families that are visiting a prison for the first-time. Ensuring they have the correct information about the prison and an opportunity to ask questions.
As the Family Engagement Worker you will deliver family services at HMP High Down as part of a team, with a particular focus on the booking line, but also offering support to other aspects of the service, including: visitors' centre services; play and children's services as well as the social enterprise refreshment service. You will have excellent IT, communication and organisational skills, with an ability to manage a demanding workload.
You must also have the ability to work flexibly, as this role will include regular weekend work. This post is subject to pre-employment checks, a Satisfactory DBS disclosure and Enhanced Prison security clearance.
