An exciting opportunity to join our Decision Science team in a role that will see you supporting the development and delivery of a pipeline of system releases for Premier Inn’s internal revenue management system, including scoping/design of new functionality, test plan design, execution of testing (UAT), and coordination of training and induction processes. You’ll facilitate and drive a culture of continuous improvement within Trading, focusing not only on documenting and maintaining current processes, but also constantly exploring and acting on opportunities to improve process quality and efficiency.

What you will be doing: 

  • Developing and maintaining the documentation of our revenue management processes, you’ll document the processes required to launch, calibrate and manage pricing and availability across the trading team
  • You’ll define key process steps and sequencing, including distinction between global/standard set up vs deviation from standard at hotel/cluster/segment level
  • You’ll drive continuous improvement of revenue management processes and principles, identifying inconsistent processes and facilitating discussions with a wide range of stakeholders
  • You’ll support the development of Premier Inn’s internal revenue management system, focusing on the scoping of new functionality and automation of processes, as well as supporting incident resolution
  • You’ll provide decision support and consultative guidance to trading teams, advising commercial leads and pricing & events team on most effective approach to achieving desire pricing output
  • You’ll control and quality assure the development and application of code-based pricing and availability controls
  • You’ll lead and manage the agenda and effectiveness of the Trading Optimisation Forum
  • You’ll pursue and deliver small continuous improvement projects as required, focusing on process effectiveness and system set-up

 

Why we would love you to apply: 

  • You have a strong understanding of core revenue management principles and processes, as well as good knowledge of broader operational systems/processes that impact processes
  • You’re familiar with continuous improvement philosophy and techniques, ideally with PRINCE2 Project Management qualifications and Lean Six Sigma
  • You have a track record of delivering change and the demonstrated ability to manage small projects, creating deliverables and coordinating across various stakeholders
  • You have experience in leading/managing and developing a team
  • You have excellent people and communication skills and can easily build rapport and credibility across the broader trading team
  • You have strong fact gathering and research skills, with detail focus and critical thinking and diagnosis skills
  • You’re highly organised, with strong process mapping skills and analytical background
  • Ideally you come from a hospitality/revenue management background
