Hours: 39 hours per week. The hours are Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm and Friday 8.30am to 4pm (with an hour for lunch).
Salary: up to £25,000 per annum

About the role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Carpenter / Joiner to work in a variety of modern, historic and Grade I and II listed buildings, playing a key role in the Maintenance Department of one of the leading schools in the UK.
You will help maintain, repair, modify and refurbish the School’s buildings and facilities to ensure a safe and attractive environment. The work is varied but typical duties might include:
- Internal and external timber repairs prior to redecoration.
- Ironmongery repair and replacement.
- Replacing and adjusting fire doors.
- Constructing bespoke items in hardwood.
- Replacing / refurbishing ornate hardwood panelling.
- Working on refurbishment projects as part of a team.
The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent qualification, along with experience of bench and site joinery, using woodworking machines and traditional construction and repair techniques.
