Reporting to the Housing and Wellbeing Manager, the Catering Assistant, as an essential member of the Independence and Wellbeing Team, is responsible for all aspects of the catering function. Including the preparation of food, basic cooking, food service, kitchen hygiene and health and safety; ensuring compliance with legislation and working with customers to deliver basic food preparation, cooking and menu planning skills.

About You:

You must hold a basic food hygiene NVQ level 1 NVQ Food Preparation, qualified to minimum level 2 in English and maths and ideally, hold an IT Qualification or have evidence of basic IT and keyboard skills.

You may have experience of working in a social care, housing or health setting preparing, cooking and presenting food to meet quality, cost and food and health and safety standards, but if you do not have the experience in a healthcare setting you will have experience of working in a customer focused environment with the ability to deliver a high standard of customer service

You may have experience of the following: Catering, Caterer, Cook, Chef, Kitchen Assistant, Kitchen Staff, Food Prep, Food Hygiene, General Catering Assistant, Social Care, Housing Association, etc
