Client Service Advisor - Part-time (evening shift)

Working alongside a dedicated team, you will deliver excellent customer service and provide a friendly, professional face for the company. Our surgeries are fast-paced and we pride ourselves on efficiency. 

To be successful in this role you’ll have previous experience of working in a customer facing environment, have excellent communication skills, enjoy working in a fast paced environment, have a passion for animals and the ability to build on the strong teamwork already in place. Common Duties Include

  • Welcoming clients and their pets for appointments and maintaining a compassionate and professional attitude at all times 
  • Answering telephone calls/queries from clients 
  • Handling medication prepared by a veterinary surgeon and handing to clients 
  • Working within a team (and at times alone) to ensure the surgery’s reception, waiting area and consultation rooms are maintained to a high standard of clinical cleanliness
  • Dealing with stressed or upset clients and connecting them to the appropriate teams where required 
  • Taking payments, registering new clients and addressing client concerns 
  • Organisation and restocking of the practice where required 
  • Complying with all health and safety procedures 
  • Complying with data protection legislation to ensure client and patient confidentiality is maintained at all times

  • Enthusiastic and motivated to provide a high level of customer service, while taking on a confident attitude 
  • Strong organisation skills, open, honest and trustworthy 
  • Pleasant manner, compassionate towards clients and pets 
  • Strong communicator and able to confidently communicate with clients and staff of all levels (Vet Nurses, Vets and Directors) 
  • IT Literature and a fast learner 
  • Takes direction and can work from own initiative 
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment

  • Experience of a client/customer facing role in a fast paced environment essential. 
  • Previous experience of working in a veterinary or clinical environment desirable.

  • Days/Hours per week: Part time (17.5 hours) 4 on 4 off rota pattern, 7pm - Midnight
  • Salary: £9.30p.h
  • To Start: ASAP
  • Holiday Days (Including bank holidays): 6 Weeks
