Commercial Trading Executive Responsibilities:
Alzheimer’s Society’s online shop sells a wide range of gifts and helpful products for people living with dementia, branded merchandise, Christmas cards and gifts for all the family. In this exciting and varied role, you will manage the running and continuous improvement of our online shop, enabling us to offer exceptional service and meet our ambitious sales targets.
You will design and deliver our digital, social media and print marketing campaigns, with the aim of increasing customer acquisition and developing our stewardship journey. You will input into the creative for campaigns, product design and selection, working directly with designers and suppliers. You will also have an opportunity to work with people living with dementia and their carers; facilitating the testing and evaluation of assistive products.
The Trading Team is part of the dynamic and successful corporate partnerships team made up of 28 colleagues, from a diverse range of backgrounds, managing partnerships with major companies including Santander, E.ON, Wilko and BMW. Your role will also include the management of corporate charity card schemes and other affiliate partnerships with partners such as John Lewis and Paperchase. You will lead in developing an affinity strategy to increase income through our affinity portfolio and product licencing.
You will have line management of the Commercial Trading Assistant and Commercial Trading Volunteer, providing them with support and motivation whilst encouraging their personal and professional development.
Commercial Trading Executive Requirements:
Do you have strong e-commerce and marketing experience and a passion for shopping? Could you inspire Alzheimer’s Society supporters to buy exclusively designed Christmas cards and gifts, branded merchandise and assistive products to help people living with dementia from our online shop and catalogues?
We are seeking someone with good commercial awareness, commitment to excellent customer service, a flair for and experience of buying new products, strong influencing and negotiating skills and in-depth experience of e-commerce, analytics and marketing.
To succeed you will need ambition, energy and enthusiasm and be able to learn quickly and work well under pressure, multi-task and have excellent time management skills. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be self-motivated, with an innovative approach to problem solving. Excellent IT skills are essential to the success of this role.

Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week
Salary: £25,300 - £27,628 actual per annum (depending on skills and experience) + London allowance of £3,600 (if applicable)
