Here at GCHQ, we have a clear purpose - we want to help protect the UK. We work against unique threats – everything from terror attacks to other criminal threats. It’s serious work, but it doesn’t mean we’re always in the office. In fact, it’s really important that you enjoy time outside of work and focus on your own personal missions, while helping us work towards ours.
In this crucial role, you’ll promote a safe online environment and help us to protect society. It’s varied work that’ll see you defending systems and networks and tackling problems you wouldn’t elsewhere. Day-to-day, you might develop software to access the computers of terrorist groups or retrieve online clues about organised crime rings. It’s all about designing, developing or utilising bespoke tools to help save lives. Your skills might see you administrating complex operational infrastructure, or even developing sophisticated software.
Everyone who joins Computer Network Operations has a real curiosity about tech, computer networks and security. To join us, you’ll be passionate about pushing tech to its limits. You’ll either have experience within a relevant field or have, (or be expecting), a 2:2 degree in a STEM subject. But most importantly, you’ll be a natural problem solver – someone who proactively keeps up with trends and is passionate about keeping the UK safe.
We also have roles available in Cheltenham.
Make it your mission.
