Costing Manager (Procurement and Operational Decision Support)
Salary £45,000 - £50,00 (depending on experience) + Potential bonus + Car allowance + Excellent Package
A superb opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and ambitious individual to join our Finance team based in York. As the Costing Manager you will lead a team in actively providing informed and highly effective decision support to our UK businesses for Procurement and our factories and Co-packing operations. Supporting the provision of a timely and accurate costing service. Provide analysis and decision support to Divisional and Corporate management teams. Overseeing financial timetables and delivery of the key costing processes (including Period end reporting, forecasting, transfer pricing, new product costing and budgeting), controls and data integrity, supporting and delivering compliance to Nestle Accounting and Costing Standards.
You’ll work closely with the UK operations and Procurement teams, taking ownership of specific Dynamic Forecasts, ensuring accurate and reliable forecast information is readily available to key stakeholders. Budget Planning, analyse and input the annual standard cost budget for the factories ensuring compliance with Nestlé Accounting Standards and all other guidelines issued. Ensure the integrity of the costs and perform reasonableness checks on the budget for accuracy. In addition, you will co-ordinate the technical activities with our Shared Service partners who perform the back office transactional activities to ensure a quality service to the UK and Ireland businesses.
In addition to this you will:
- Manage coach and develop a team
- Provide a responsive & effective new product cost service up to and including export transfer pricing
- Provide technical financial analysis support and advice to customers and factory operations.
- Co-ordinate finance performance reporting at Procurement, Factory, Divisional & Corporate level
- Ensure timeliness, data integrity and compliance with the Nestlé Accounting Standards.
- Interpretation & identification of potential issues and record trends to provide 2nd level support to Factory Controllers / Divisional Analysts
To be successful ideally you’ll have your accountancy qualification, you’ll be able to demonstrate fantastic communication and influencing skills across a range of different stakeholder levels whilst being able to challenge the status quo when needed. You’ll have good team management skills and experience, have the ability to train coach and develop team members. Having a curious approach to everything you do, a tenacity to succeed and an ability to understand how you impact the wider business performance are all essential for this role.
