Mildmay Veterinary Hospital is a premier practice in a convenient location on the edge of Winchester. Established over 40 years ago. The practice now specialises in the treatment of companion animals from a purpose built surgery. We also have a friendly branch surgery in Overton. Our Mildmay and MiNightVet team of 40 is led by Clinical Director Nikki Hoad. Our experienced vets have special interests and additional qualifications, holding certificates in cardiology, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery and internal medicine.
The main focus of the role is to meet and greet customers to Mildmay Veterinary Hospital and to make our clients feel welcomed and supported during their visit. Meeting clients outside of the practice, you will explain how their visit will unfold, answer their questions and co-ordinate with the reception team and veterinary staff to keep the client updated during their visit. Some hours will also be spent on reception answering the telephone and making appointments as necessary, alongside a number of other administrative tasks.
For this role you will need to be confident in speaking with all types of people and dealing with their questions. As a multi-tasker you will need to be able to think on your feet and at times be able to juggle several customers at once. For you to be effective in this role you will need to be organised with a methodical approach, understand the importance of the customer experience and be professional at all times. Reasonable computer skills will be required. It would be an advantage to have worked in the hospitality industry but it is not essential. Please note - this role will be partly based outdoors
