As part of our Decision Science Function, this Decision Engineering role will drive the design, implementation and communication of changes in business decision processes where coordination across multiple functional teams, system backlogs and data sources is required. There is the opportunity to inform and shape decision making through commercial logic and drive the implementation of business process change.

What you will be doing:

  • Drive the delivery of a backlog of business change projects through a matrix organisation
  • Translate high level business plan requirements into a workable proposal
  • Support and inform design and implementation decision processes
  • Develop commercial/business logic and model scenarios to inform decision processes
  • Drive implementation and communication of business process change
  • Work with Head of Decision Science to prioritise and deliver change that meets business requirements
  • Develop hypotheses on key design questions/decision, using own knowledge and analysis of relevant data as an input
  • Articulate pros and cons of relevant options and seek input from stakeholders to drive towards a proposal
  • Drive decision processes using effective comms that lead to efficient decision-making processes
  • Inform decision-making by modelling scenarios using a range of analytical techniques, including working with data scientists where appropriate

  • You have the ability to develop hypotheses and business cases for change, and to communicate this effectively to a range of audiences
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to both support and challenge key stakeholders and delivery teams
  • Strong analytical, modelling and visualisation skills (Excel/SQL/Tableau)
  • Basic project management skills
  • Ability to work on a number of projects in parallel with a significant amount of autonomy
  • Good understanding of hotel & restaurant commercial and operational operating models
  • Good understanding relevant KPIs for both hotels and restaurants
  • Broad understanding of our pricing and reservation systems and processes, trading decision-making, distribution channels and digital merchandising
  • Experience in designing and leading cross-functional business change
  • Deep analytical experience in multiple functional areas
