Position: Dementia Adviser
Location: Neath and Port Talbot
Contract type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 35 per week
Salary: £20,345 actual per annum

About the role:

Our Dementia Support Service in Neath Port Talbot is looking for an exceptional, well-motivated individual to join the team. If you have an understanding of working with people affected by dementia and an understanding of their needs, we would like to hear from you. As a Dementia Adviser you will be the first point of contact where you will provide a responsive and individualised information, signposting and referral service to people with a diagnosis of dementia and those that care for them. You will work closely with a team of Dementia Advisors who provide support across Neath Port Talbot. This could be in the clients own home, at our office or other locations, face to face, by phone, letter or email.

About you:

We are looking for an individual who possess NVQ level 3 (or equivalent). Your ability to assess client needs along with the understanding of the need for client confidentiality is essential. You will have excellent non-judgmental communication skills as well as great organisational and time management skills so that you can manage your caseload effectively.

You will be expected to work across the area so it is essential that you can travel independently.
