Deputy Manager

You will join us as a Deputy Manager to manage a small team supporting young women from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds to develop their life skills, with the aim of making a successful transition to more permanent, independent housing.

Deputy Manager Responsibilities:

Based within the young women’s accommodation, you will act as a role model for other team members, ensuring the provision of high-quality support on a one-to-one and group basis, at all times promoting the young women’s safety, self-efficacy and wellbeing. You will also take a lead role in the on-going development of the service as a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE).

Deputy Manager Requirements:

You should be capable of working with young women, in vulnerable circumstances, in a calm and understanding way. You will strive to foster the young women’s strengths, to address challenges in their lives, and to effect positive change. You will be a highly proactive individual, with a strong ability to foster relationships with a range of stakeholders, underpinned by an in-depth understanding of issues relevant to the housing and homelessness sector. It is desirable that you have previous experience of working with young women who have experienced or been at risk of homelessness, including young mothers, those who have multiple and / or complex needs, and those with experiences of trauma. Candidates may be able to evidence their suitability for the role based on their life experiences, wider employment experience, transferrable knowledge and skills.

A Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Certificate will be required for these roles.

Salary: £26,350 - £31,000 per annum (Depending on Experience)
