The Civil Service HR Function oversees workforce activities for 400,000 Civil Servants, helping the Service to build and develop as a confident, professional and expert organisation that delivers the commitments of the governments of the day and provides an excellent service to citizens. The central teams hold responsibility for learning and development as well as the management of corporate talent programmes of which Diversity and Inclusion is a fundamental part.
The Director, Civil Service Diversity and Inclusion will work closely with these teams as well as with a network of Diversity Champions to drive strategy implementation and provide creative solutions to the challenges ahead. For the right applicant, this will be a unique opportunity to apply your expertise at the heart of Government.
The successful candidate will own and deliver our refreshed plan for both Diversity and Inclusion in the Civil Service, combining our long-term strategic objectives with the implementation of immediate priorities. You will lead a team of c. 20 staff, including three deputy directors to drive excellent practice across Government. Alongside Employee Networks and external partners, you will work to build an inclusive culture for everyone, no matter what their background.
