The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) is a really special place to work with one of the most exciting and demanding agendas in Government. With our responsibilities representing a tenth of the UK economy we will play a key role in delivering on the Government’s goals of levelling-up across the country.

We enrich lives and strengthen communities by supporting greater participation in sport, culture and social action; investing in young people’s wellbeing and employability; and uniting communities and nations through events that shape our national identity.

We drive growth in every part of the country by providing the digital infrastructure to boost productivity, harnessing the power of digital and data across the economy and supporting and strengthening some of the fastest growing and most innovative sectors - digital, media, creative and tourism.

And we strengthen security by improving online safety, ensuring resilience to cyber risks, and protecting our democracy from new threats.

By preserving our heritage, supporting civil society and promoting our vibrant cultural and sporting sectors we can build a strong and renewed identity for the United Kingdom at home and abroad. We can use our levers and our relationships, including with over 45 public bodies, to level up the country by enhancing growth and access to opportunity, strengthen the Union and maximise the opportunities for the UK operating in its sovereign interest
