About the job

Job description

We are the UK's tax, payments and customs authority, and we have a vital purpose: we collect the money that pays for the UK’s public services and help families and individuals with targeted financial support.

We do this by being impartial and increasingly effective and efficient in our administration. We put compliance and customer service at the heart of everything we do by taking a ‘customer segment’ approach, focusing on customers rather than different types of tax, so we can target and coordinate our responses more effectively.

Leading more than 4000 staff across 58 locations, the Director Wealthy and Mid-Sized Business Compliance (WMBC) has a critical role in this work by leading our focus on the wealthy and mid-sized business populations, along with other customers including public bodies, charities, and pension schemes.

This is a vital role, offering a unique opportunity to make a significant difference to HMRC and to society. You will lead highly committed and skilled teams and be a key player in HMRC’s senior leadership team, working collaboratively with colleagues across HMRC to deliver our strategy and outstanding results.

To be successful in this role you must have a proven track record of successful delivery at scale in a complex and challenging environment.

Closing date for applications: 23:59 on 08th January 2019
