Director, Threat Leadership

The National Crime Agency leads the UK’s fight to cut serious and organised crime. As part of our determination to operate at the pinnacle of law enforcement, we are leading work to significantly enhance the UK’s response to tackling these threats to national security.

As part of the NCAs’ Command Team, this newly created post has responsibility for developing and leading the whole system response to priority, serious and organised crime threats ensuring the relentless pursuit and prosecution of offenders using all criminal and civil powers at the disposal of ourselves and our partners. You will also play a leading role in coordinating the wider UK and international response to these threats.

Your remit will include responsibility for the National Cyber Crime Unit alongside a range of other threats including modern slavery and human trafficking, organised immigration crime and child sexual exploitation and abuse. You will also lead the response to the threats caused by drugs and firearms within the UK. As new threats emerge it will be your responsibility to develop a comprehensive response on behalf of the NCA.

You will be naturally collaborative and will seek out opportunities to develop strong working relationships with wider law enforcement, the intelligence community, and the charity and 3rd sector. You will also have the ability to manage a complex portfolio and deliver in a fast paced and challenging environment.
