We have an exciting opportunity for an Employee Relations Advisor to join our HR Shared Services function here at Whitbread. You will provide ER advice and support to our operational team members across both Premier Inn and Restaurant brands. As the ER Advisor you will strive to improve Employee Relations across the business as well as playing an integral part of the ER helpdesk.

What you will be doing

  • Provide specialist ER Relations and Employment Policy advice and solutions to operational management and team members
  • Liaise with external providers of ER related services including occupational health to deliver relevant and timely services  
  • Work in partnership with internal stakeholder to provide advice, support and recommendations with the implementations of commercial solutions
  • Proactively follow up on agreed actions where appropriate and within a suitable time scale including feedback on an outcome and advice has been followed
  • Ensure employment policies and decisions are applied consistently across the business 
  • Complete all administrative tasks and ensure they are completed accordingly 
  • Provide telephone support in time of national crisis to the business, guests, employees and family members  


What we are looking for

  • A working knowledge of Employee Relations or HR procedures  
  • Experience of working within a HR or ER orientated environment  
  • Outstanding communication including telephone manner and written skills 
  • Ability to multi task and prioritise and deliver to timelines 
  • IT literate including Work, Excel and Outlook 
  • Can provide advice and support in calm and professional manner 
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
