The role

As an Engineering Data and Systems Manager, you will be leading the design, implementation, and use of Common Data Environments on large scale programmes. You will be responsible for the data integrity, availability, and security for the programmes you work on. You will develop and enforce enterprise strategy, industry standards and policy into the development of the CDE solution. You will be working with stakeholders of all levels to ensure policy compliance. You will work in large multidisciplinary programmes and projects and oversee a team of IT professionals. You will oversee planning, implementation, and the day to day running of CDEs leveraging tools, policy, processes, and people. You will be an expert in your field contributing to professional development of colleagues through mentoring and leadership.

In a typical week you will:

  • Develop CDE guidance, training materials, and templates in close cooperation with stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Develop project specific CDE implementation strategy incorporating tools, processes, and people.
  • Create, setup, and maintain CDE's for projects.
  • Perform audits of CDE's and processes.
  • Manage day to day project CDE use to enforce policies.
  • Deliver training on CDE use and best practice.
  • Build strong relationships with project stakeholders at all levels to ensure CDE's are understood, supported and the value is effectively communicated.
  • Lead in the development and implementation of company policy and processes.

We want to hear from you if you:

  • Hold a degree qualification or equivalent experience in relevant field.
  • Have experience working as a CDE administrator and/or project information manager role.
  • Have experience of working in large multidisciplinary projects with multiple clients and contractors.
  • Can develop and implement company/project policies.
  • Have experience in controlling information and data for major engineering programmes.
  • Have in setup, configuration, and management of CDE platforms such as SharePoint, BIM 360, and Bentley ProjectWise.
  • Are experienced working in Building Information Modelling (BIM) level 2 projects.
  • Have experience managing people and teams.
  • Are experienced in the development and implementation of company policy, tools, and processes.
  • Hold knowledge of appropriate standards such as ISO 19650.
