Finance Manager – Premier Inn

Based out of Whitbread Court, Dunstable, Bedfordshire

£38 - £45,000pa DOE plus excellent benefits including up to 30% bonus, pension and healthcare

As part of our dynamic Premier Inn Finance Team, this exciting Finance Manager role would suit a newly qualified accountant looking to have real impact on our fast-paced business whilst also business partnering a diverse range of stakeholders and being involved in key strategic projects.

What you will be doing:

  • Supporting the effective delivery of c£20m of Premier Inn ancillary sales and partnering our innovative Product Team to develop further relevant and profitable revenue streams
  • Becoming a trusted expert who provides clear insight on underlying performance drivers and takes responsibility for monthly reporting and performance reviews
  • Building collaborative relationships with diverse non-finance functions – ensuring engagement on progress of various project initiatives (even when these are challenging conversations) to ensure focused growth
  • Track performance of recently rolled out initiatives - including weekly reporting - alongside supporting with building new business cases for trials and analysing success via completion reviews
  • As a valued partner, you’ll outline learnings and make recommendations for future improvements and ensure long term success
  • Providing robust decision support on Premier Inn propositions as part of £50m Capex / £9m Opex budgets
  • Dotted-line responsibility for 1 analyst; ensuring valuable coaching and provision of clear direction


Why we’d love you to apply:

  • As a recently qualified accountant, you’ll need experience of working within a complex commercial organisation
  • Previous exposure to a role that has required you to business partner and build meaningful relationships with non-finance teams is highly desirable
  • Confident to get stuck in, you’ll be used to working at pace with multiple workstreams
  • Passionate about your field of expertise and agile in your approach, you’ll need to be comfortable working in “the grey” and making reasonable and logical assumptions – you won’t always have all the dots to join in this role
  • Previous line management or mentoring experience would be advantageous
