PREVENT Manager G3 NCCU

The prevent team contribute towards the collection of strategic and tactical intelligence to assist in bringing offenders to justice and to inform the broader cyber-crime landscape. They are tasked with investigations at the national and international level, engaging with NCA, RCCU's and external partners Law Enforcement partners including overseas law enforcement and UK intelligence partners.

We are currently looking to recruit 2 Prevent Managers at either the NCA London or Warrington office. One role will be to manage and lead the NCCU Prevent team and the second role will be the G3 Prevent Regional Co-ordinator role with responsibilities for managing and co-ordinating the ROCU Prevent network.

Both are roles within the NCCU Operations (Investigation). The post holders will lead a team of Prevent officers in their engagement and work collaboratively with the Prevent Network and other strategic partners in delivering the strategic objectives of the National Prevent framework.

The ideal candidate would hold Police powers to meet the operational requirement of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate would:

• Pro-actively coordinate regional Prevent network teams to promote an holistic approach to the delivery of the National Prevent framework
• Manage and lead the NCCU Prevent team in line with the Prevent National strategy.
• Act as the National Cyber Prevent Network coordinator which involves leading the Regional and National network response to Prevent initiatives
• Promote and ensure delivery against set and agreed regional Prevent objectives
• Pro-actively participate in Team Cyber UK activities
• Provide strategic leadership for the national Prevent intelligence collection, target discovery, development and delivery of interventions and positive diversion schemes

Essential Criteria:

• Comprehensive understanding of UK Cyber Crime legislation and current threats.
• Experience of working in Cyber or a Prevent/Prevention related role
• Understanding of Prevent tools and techniques to facilitate the deployment of pro-active tactics and intelligence gathering..
• Have performed SIO or Lead Officer duties
