The NCCU Cyber Skills and Development Team focuses on the delivery and development of cyber specific learning opportunities. The team work with subject matter experts to map out and facilitate cyber training pathways, identify gaps in knowledge and seek to find or create alternatives to traditional classroom based courses. Upskilling officers and building cyber expertise is an on-going priority or this team.

Job description

The National Cyber Crime Unit is the UK lead for tackling the threat from Cyber Crime, with the responsibility and capability to lead the overall response to cyber crime.

We are currently looking to recruit Senior Officers for the NCCU Cyber Skills and Development team, either within our London, East Midlands or Warrington offices.

Candidates should be aware that NCCU will shortly relocate their team at East Midlands site to the Birmingham. Candidates therefore expressing an interest for the East Midlands site will be relocated shortly after taking up their post. Relocation costs will not be provided.

The successful candidate will focus on delivery of Cyber specific training both online and within the classroom. The ideal candidate would have experience within these environments.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Development and coordination of cyber specific training events
• Leading the upskill of cyber skills across the agency by utilising and developing online solutions.
• Responsible for design and development of cyber e-learning modules.
• Act as subject matter experts within the team and liaise with wider NCCU teams to create bespoke cyber e-learning modules and pathways.
• Delivery and support of wider upskilling offerings for specific groups such as Intelligence and Investigation.


***All NCA officers must hold SC Enhanced upon entry as a minimum. To meet the National Security Vetting requirements for this role you will need to have resided in the UK for a minimum of 3 out of the past 5 years. For more information please see the Candidate information Pack***

Some NCA roles require officers to obtain DV Enhanced within 12 months of entry. If DV Enhanced cannot be obtained the officer will be required to move to a non-DV role.
