Organised Immigration Crime (OIC) is a top priority for the NCA and wider law enforcement; with significant interest across government, the wider public sector and non-governmental organisations (NGO)s . There are a number of national agencies involved in addressing the threat. OIC overlaps with many other SOC Threats, in particular Modern Slavery / Human Trafficking. This team is responsible for collaborating across these agencies and internal NCA Command areas, to create the full picture of Project INVIGOR intelligence and response activities.

You will be providing key business support experience matched with invaluable experience working in law enforcement or Government departments with knowledge of Organised Immigration Crime or Wider Migration policy.

Job description

You will work as part of a busy team which leads and coordinates the UK law enforcement response to organised immigration crime. You will work with teams across the NCA and wider law enforcement to ensure that there is a robust response to the threat and that we effectively address any gaps and communicate the successes to build public confidence. You will ensure that the governance and accountability mechanisms work efficiently to deliver a comprehensive response and ensure that funding allocated to this is being spent in accordance with strategic objectives and government requirements.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to directly work on a high profile organised crime threat which is of significant interest to the wider public and gain a unique insight into the law enforcement response.

You will be responsible for providing business support and governance to operations, corporate and central functions and contribute towards the achievement of the strategic objectives of the NCA. You will manage and direct resources to ensure work is completed within agreed timescales/financial constraints and quality standards, in line with NCA policy. This will involve undertaking and supervising the research, development, collation, co-ordination and dissemination of management information including policy, reports, briefings, business plans, risk registers, presentations and web communications as appropriate. You may be required to manage, coach and develop staff and you will develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to foster collaborative working.
You will have the ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic environment.
