About the role:
This is a great opportunity to work as a two man team to help deliver a new pilot initiative for the Grounds Maintenance service to be brought in house. Reporting to the Grounds Maintenance Working Supervisor you will work within the Repair Services Directorate and be at the forefront of delivering high standards of ground maintenance on estates and schemes across South Manchester.
You will help deliver and shape the Grounds Maintenance service to estate and scheme-based services in neighbourhoods across all regions and inline with the Service Delivery Framework.
You will be responsible to work with full regard to health and safety working practice and compliance requirements need to be adhered to at all times. You will be empowered to make decisions and take accountability for your actions as well as contributing to the development and delivery of the new service.
You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the business in various departments delivering a high standard within the environment which is critical to meet customer satisfaction and maintain our assets.
The successful candidate must hold a full driving license. It would be desirable to hold an NVQ Level 2 and be prepared to be trained. You must be experienced in operating equivalent machinery. A PA1 &PA6A certification would be desirable and First Aid trained or willing to undergo training..
You need experience in a Grounds Maintenance role or similar Estate Management role in the Social, Commercial or Private sector which involved grounds maintenance work.
Due to this being a pilot we need individuals with a proven track record. You must be able to be a good communicator work independently or as a team player and always represent Great Places Housing Group to our customers and colleagues. You need to have experience of working in a culture of Health and Safety and be risk adverse.
You must be performance driven and pay attention to detail delivering a high standard of grounds maintenance work. You must be able to challenge the status quo in order to improve and changes services.
