Head of Engagement and Communications for the Royal Air Force

Head of Royal Air Force (RAF) Engagement and Communications is the principal advisor to the Air Force Board Executive on engagement and communications issues, including all media-related activity. Directly accountable to the Assistant Chief of Air Staff (ACAS - 2* Director level equivalent), and leading a team of approximately 70 full-time civilian and military staff, together with 50 RAF part-time Reservists, the post holder’s primary role is to:

• Lead the full range of Royal Air Force engagement, communications, media, brand and reputational activity;
• Own and deliver the RAF external and internal communication strategies;
• Own and deliver, on behalf of ACAS, the RAF Engagement Strategy.
