Purpose of the role
We are now looking to appoint a qualified Health, Safety & Environmental professional who can partner with our Operational Directors & provide a proactive, professional and consultative approach to Health & Safety.
About the role
As a Health & Safety Business Partner you will support, through your team of HSEQ Advisors, senior levels of our business to formulate effective compliance and improvement plans aligned to Amey's Health & Safety strategy and those of our customers. You will act as a commercially aware, focused & business minded partner for Health & Safety, collaborating with the leadership teams to help ensure a collective vision that extends beyond health, safety & environmental systems and focuses on our people and their behavior to help create a positively reinforced Zero Harm Culture.
Our Secure Infrastructure business spans the UK covering contracts with the MOD and MOJ as well as local authorities and Health Trusts. The Health & Safety business partner will have:
- Excellent knowledge of health and safety requirements
- Previous experience of HHLR (high hazard low risk) operations
- Proven track record in dealing with regulators and other stakeholders
What we are looking for
We are looking for ambassadors and role models for the HSEQ function who will utilise their business acumen, engaging communication and influencing style to promote Health & Safety and provide expert support across our leadership team. Experience providing Health & Safety expertise within a Facilities Maintenance industry would be preferred.
you will be a 'Chartered' Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) with at least five years relevant experience and a proven track record in delivering tangible improvements to health & safety including influencing stakeholders and developing a robust safety culture a within a contract driven environment.
