Health and Safety Officer (part time)

Spire Tunbridge Wells Hospital is looking for a Health and Safety Officer to join our team on a part time basis. You will take a lead on Health and Safety for our hospital as you work closely with a range of key stakeholders.

Spire Tunbridge Wells is a 36 bedded acute hospital situated in rural Kent, located within five miles of Royal Tunbridge Wells and on the boundaries of West Sussex. The hospital offers a range of services and facilities including two operating theatres, a sterile services department, a dedicated endoscopy suite, and a diagnostic and imaging department with an MRI and CT scanner. Please note that due to the rural location of our hospital you must have access to your own transport.

Duties and responsibilities:

Working closely with our Director of Clinical Services and Governance Manager you will be responsible for ensuring our high quality Health and Safety standards are met. This will include audits, report writing and attending regional meetings/calls. You will manage compliance for audits and our risk management system as you work closely with all Heads of Department to implement any changes required.

Who we're looking for:

  • You will need to have a passion for Health and Safety and fully understand its importance
  • You will ideally have relevant NEBOSH certification
  • Strong computer literacy as the role involves report writing and keeping accurate records
  • A great communicator
  • Experience in a Health and Safety role
