The Foreign and Commonwealth Office works at home and overseas to safeguard Britain’s national security, promote and build prosperity as well as support British people overseas. It does this through a skilled worldwide network of over 14,000 people.

We are seeking an exceptional individual for the role of Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Luxembourg.

This high profile, wide-ranging and influential role will lead the development of the UK’s bilateral relationship with Luxembourg. The Ambassador will be a publicly visible, active, engaged and authoritative representative of the UK, at the forefront of efforts to strengthen and broaden our partnership following EU exit and to promote UK interests internationally.

The successful candidate will be a strategic leader, credible across a wide range of objectives and able to translate plans into action to maximise the return to the UK. We are looking for a compelling communicator, able to engage key decision-makers and varied audiences – political, business, finance, students and the wider public – to further the impact and value of our partnership.
