Highly Specialised Clinical Psychologist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Psychologist to join our existing team. We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals who thrive in a multi-disciplinary environment and who are particularly interested in working with young people and young adults with complex needs. You would be joining an existing team of Clinical Psychologists, Art Therapists, Psychiatrists, and Nurses.

Highly Specialised Clinical Psychologist Responsibilities:

The post holder would be joining a team of 6 Clinical Psychologists, but would have considerable autonomy to shape and develop their role providing direct clinical input, supervision, consultation, teaching and clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary setting. We are committed to the development of our staff through CPD and training and are active in the field of research.

Highly Specialised Clinical Psychologist Essential Requirements:

- Doctoral level training in clinical psychology, including two or more distinct psychological therapies.
- Current registration with HCPC.
- Minimum of twelve months post qualification experience.
- Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients across the full range of care settings, including at least six months clinical experience working in child and adolescent mental health.
- Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups including maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems.
- Knowledge of whole life span development and the impact on emotional, psychological and mental well-being.
- Knowledge of the theory and practice of at least one evidence based psychological therapy relevant to the treatment of adolescents with complex problems and their families.

About Care in Mind:

Care in Mind is a specialist service providing NHS funded intensive mental health packages and residential placements for complex young people and young adults. We offer intensive therapeutic provision to young people, often transitioning from inpatient or secure settings, to support them to be able to maintain community placements. We specialise in working with young people with a diagnosis of personality disorders and / or complex PTSD.

Location: West Yorkshire

Job type: Permanent, Full time or Part time hours will be considered

Salary: Band 8a, £44,606-£50,819 (Band 7 preceptorship considered dependent on experience)
