If so, you may be our next HR Director. The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has one of the widest remits in Whitehall. Our work will ensure that the economy grows strongly in all parts of the country, based on a robust Industrial Strategy, and that the UK has secure, energy supplies that are reliable, affordable and clean, delivered through the Clean Growth Strategy. Through our network of partner organisations, we deliver services to thousands of businesses and customers every day – including delivering weather reports by the Met Office and registering new businesses at Companies House.

We want to be a learning organisation, innovative, business-facing, committed to our people, to modernising the way we work and to providing customer-focused Corporate Services. We want to be outward facing, a voice for business in Government and a key partner to our stakeholders.

As our new HR Director, you will be at the heart of our work to achieve this ambition. You will provide strong leadership to the HR function, develop an overall People Strategy for the Department and be accountable for the successful delivery of the people elements of organisational change. You will have a strong track record of delivery, of modernising HR services and will bring experience of developing and retaining a diverse, talented and engaged workforce.
