About the role:
Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, the Infrastructure Specialist will be enthusiastic, driven and highly technical around Great Places core Infrastructure; Citrix and VMware.
The Infrastructure Specialist will deliver ICT network, server, storage infrastructure projects for Great Places Housing Group and provide BAU technical support. You will assist with implementing and managing network infrastructure projects to ensure the core network is stable and is developed according to the needs of the business.
To be successful in this role you will have exposure to VMware, Citrix and Microsoft, any certifications would be beneficial. As well as this you will be qualified to minimum GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and maths with a familiarity with using a full range of Microsoft Office. You will hold a full UK driving license.
- Complete daily check, project reporting and BAU Support
- Successfully deliver Infrastructure projects (Server, Storage, Network and Cloud)
- Citrix XenApp Infrastructure
- VMware 5.5 and 6.5 Environment
- HyperConverged Infrastructure Understanding
- Dell EMC and NetApp Storage
- Understand Cisco Nexus Networking
- Windows Server 2008 and 2012
- Ms Exchange 2010 and above
- Avaya VoIP IP Office Telephony
- GDPR and Security awareness on Infrastructure
To be successful in this role you will be VMware Certified VCP and Microsoft Certified Professional MCP. As well as this you will be qualified to minimum GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and maths with a familiarity with using a full range of Microsoft Office. You will hold a full UK driving license.
You may have experience of the following: Infrastructure Specialist, Infrastructure Engineer, Infrastructure Manager, Project Manager, IT Manager, IT Infrastructure Specialist, IT Infrastructure Engineer, Network Engineer, Systems Engineer, IT Support Engineer, Systems Analyst etc.
