Location: York/Manchester/Leeds
Salary: £51,750 per annum to £76,000 per annum

About the Job:

As IS Programme Manager you will be responsible for the oversight and delivery of multiple projects in Northern’s wide-ranging IT transformation programme. You will be instrumental in all project phases from point of concept to completion and will also maintain full visibility of, and influence, the work pipeline. You will ensure that the projects program is completed to consistently high industry standards, within budget and that objectives are met on time in line with Northern’s business plans.

Northern is in the process of carrying out a major upgrade to its technical infrastructure along with a raft of application changes and developments over the next 2 years.

A review has been conducted into Northern’s Data Strategy which will result in a programme to improve and better exploit data feeds, data sets and associated tools and we are in the process of implementing a new analytics platform. You will play a significant role within this project.

About you:

To meet the requirements of the role, you will need to have:-

Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills;
the ability to work as part of a team;
the ability to exercise attention to detail;
superior organisational, planning and analysis skills;
good knowledge of Human Resources practices;
leadership, people, financial literacy, multi-tasking and creativity skills;
good knowledge of MS Office software and Web;
the ability to work under pressure to achieve deadlines;

You will have a Bachelor's Degree in Business or a Topic Relevant to the Industry
