IT Support Officer (Asset and Configuration)

You will make a difference as our Asset and Configuration Support Officer by contributing to the improvement of standards, procedures and reporting around the council’s IT assets such as contracts, software, data and configuration items. In this role you will support the team and wider ITD division in providing excellent service and building productive professional relationships to achieve this.

What will you be doing?

- As part of a recent restructure and forming the Information, Technology & Digital (ITD) division, we have brought together the Business Systems Administration team, Application & Database (Apps/DB) team and the Networking & Communications and Virtualisation & Storage team into a single Technical Delivery & Operations (TDO) team to maximise efficiencies and synergies.
- Working under the supervision of the Senior Asset & Configuration Officer you will be key in making suggestions in identifying improvements in the day to day use of systems and procedures.
- You will assist in data gathering, analysing and reporting performance including, all financial tracking of IT and external third party services
- On a daily basis you will be required to produce ITD performance reports on contracts and software assurance renewals.
- You will attend Change Management and Supplier meetings, take minutes and using your initiative with the follow up of all necessary actions, including updating various Configuration Management data sources.

What we need from you

- You will have a minimum of 3 grade C’s at GCSE (or equivalent), including English and Maths or able to demonstrate an equivalent level of skill
- You will have experience of working in an ICT service delivery post.
- You will require effective IT skills in accurately updating and modifying information systems and databases. This will include knowledge of standard and nonstandard software.
- You will have excellent skills in collating information, analysing, reporting and presenting such data.
- Your will have great communication skills to be professionally liaise with a wide range of stakeholders

Salary: £23,080 to £25,481 per annum
