Why work as part of our category team?
Our category team is one of our key functions within our business, you’ll get to work with some truly talented individuals not only within our Category & Insights team, but also across our Brand Marketing, Sales & NPD teams. We are always looking for new ideas, so this is a role where you have the ability to work both strategically and also think outside the box.
What does your typical day look like?
Every day is different at Burton’s Biscuit Company. One day you might be building reports and reviewing Kantar, Nielsen & Dunnhumby data, and working alongside one of our Senior / National account managers to provide insights for ranging and merchandising, and maximise Burton opportunities in retailers Next, you might be Working closely with marketing to build strategies based on shopper and consumer insight, and turning these into retailer sell-in stories… or providing best in class recommendations to the Sales and NPD teams on Retailer Own brand.
What are the key ingredients needed for the role?
To be successful in this you need to be analytical, commercially savvy, motivated have great communication skills and be passionate about using data to create great stories. .
This role would be a great opportunity for an experienced Category or Insights analyst, it would equally be a great 1st step into a category & insights role for someone from a Buying, Merchandising, Marketing, Market research agency or Sales background, where you have developed an understanding & have used category information in your current role.
