Role overview

Q Underwriting is a specialist, commercial underwriting business (MGA) and brings together four established, trusted brands. We offer over 25 niche commercial lines products and underwrite on behalf of multiple A-rated, household name insurers. We distribute to insurance brokers only and our people are focused on providing great service and helping our partner brokers win and retain business.

The Role

To manage and develop the relationships of our ‘Top Tier’ Brokers across the UK. To formulate and deliver strategic “Growth Deals” from those key relationships. Follow-up on development, deal and scheme opportunities provided by the telephone-based broker development team. Responsible to drive growth into our business through developing Broker relationships at Board Room level.

You will need to manage and strategically develop top tier Q Brokers across the UK, lead on development opportunities from the telephone-based broker development team , be able to manage relationships with top tier Brokers at CEO and Director level, secure and deliver new Schemes opportunities , secure and deliver new Growth Deals and develop more of our medium sized Brokers into the ‘Top tier’ category.

The Person

To be successful in this role you must have proven Key Account Manager experience within an insurer or MGA and a proven track record of hitting sales targets.
You will need to have a minimum of 7 years’ experience working within the insurance industry.

You must be confident, hugely self-motivated and maintain the highest level of professionalism when face to face with our Broker Partners.

It would be desirable if you are CII qualified or studying towards.
