This is a great opportunity to join one of the leading independent schools in the UK as Uppingham continues to invest in its matron provision across its boarding houses.

House Matrons play a vital role within the School, and we are seeking an experienced pastoral professional to lead a team of approximately 26 Matrons, working across the School’s boarding houses to provide expert care, welfare and guidance to our pupils.

The Matrons also ensure that the required service standards are met in cleaning, maintenance, laundry and catering provision within our boarding houses.

The boarding houses are central to life at the School and you will play a pivotal role ensuring excellent practice, pastoral care and operational management across all boarding houses. A professional qualification in a pastoral and/or health care environment is essential and you will also need considerable pastoral experience of working in an educational and/or welfare environment along with excellent leadership skills.
