Returner placements will be open to all individuals who have taken time out of work for at least 2 years, or are currently engaged in work that does not make the best use of their skills, competencies and qualifications.

This is a fast paced and busy role, with responsibility for delivering and improving new learning products and services aimed at a cross government audience. This includes: professional standards, curriculum, qualifications and online career pathways tool. This forms the core offer for the 230,000 civil servants who are part of the profession. 

The role involves working with multiple external suppliers and building strong relationships with Civil Service Learning and government departments. 

The successful candidate will be passionate about learning and supporting others to build capability. They will bring the latest thinking to developing new products and solutions and take a customer service approach when working with departments by capturing requirements, 
recommended solutions and delivering high quality products or services to an agreed plan, budget and timescales. 

Working with Departments, Civil Service Learning and external suppliers to develop high quality learning products and services that support successful business change. This will include commissioning the development of new learning, qualification units and other initiatives that lead to a better learning experience and increase CPD.



Civil Service pension schemes may be available for successful candidates.
