Maintenance Testing Technician

You will be responsible for testing fire alarms, emergency lighting, water quality and temperature and compliance with general fire regulations, ensuring legal compliance and the safety of staff and students at all times.

Maintenance Testing Technician Responsibilities:

- Carrying out weekly tests of fire alarm systems and record findings on a database.
- Carrying out monthly checks of: fire extinguishers ensuring that they are in date, in place and at the correct pressure.
- All fire doors ensuring that they self close in a reasonable time and recording any deficiencies.
- Emergency lighting and recording any deficiencies.
- Testing hot and cold water temperatures including monthly flushing and ensure appropriate records.
- Reporting any general property issues and entering on the Estates database.

Maintenance Testing Technician Requirements:

- Educated to a reasonable level with good written and communication skills
- Able to work as a team player as and when necessary.
- A flexible approach to hours and duties.
- The desire to undertake further training as may be required in order to properly perform the duties in a changing and challenging environment.
- Access to a vehicle to travel around the campus.
