Night Associate - Part Time (Overnight - $13.25/HR)


The key goal of the Night Associate at QuickChek is to ensure the smooth operation of the overnight shift, complete assigned tasks, and demonstrate Total Customer Dedication (TCD). The Night Associate motivates and supports fellow Team Members in being productive. Night Associates are responsible for both Team Member and customer safety and for ensuring that QuickChek is always A Great Place to Work and A Great Place to Shop. The individual will demonstrate achieving store objectives, maintaining store standards, ensuring all safety and operating procedures are adhered to, and model a positive culture for Team Members and customers. Focus areas include staying up-to-date on policies and procedures, and following proper steps for food preparation, vendor check-in, loss prevention, cash handling, and sanitation.


  • Provide exceptional customer service and tend to customers in a prompt, efficient, friendly manner
  • Prepare all food and grab-and-go items to QuickChek standards
  • Ensure items are in stock, fresh, and meet quality standards
  • Comply with all corporate sanitation guidelines at all times
  • Keep up-to-date on new policies and procedures
  • Attend all mandatory/scheduled store meetings
  • Enforce and practice Loss Prevention policies
  • Communicate any questions, concerns, or issues to the Night Leader timely
  • Keep store products in stock and set to planogram
  • Maintain a clean, clutter-free store at all times
  • Sweep, mop, and clean, as necessary
  • Ensure all equipment is operational and call for service when necessary
  • Perform and ensure proper techniques for food preparation, cash handling, and all other procedures are met
  • Packs out, prices, and faces deliveries
  • Properly operates the cash register and lottery machine
  • Processes voids, returns, and customer complaints
  • Completes all required shift reports and achieves shift objectives
  • Practice Loss Prevention policies
  • Comply with fuel operating policies and local/federal regulations (where applicable)
  • Qualifications

  • Must be detail oriented and able to meet critical weekly/monthly deadlines
  • Must be a team player and able to communicate effectively with customers and Team Members at various levels within the organization
  • Must be dependable and have an excellent attendance record
  • Be an active member of department team meetings
  • Ability to train and motivate Team Members
  • Self-motivated
  • Open and honest in communications
  • Must wear proper uniform, including name badge, at all times
  • Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards
