This is a part time role providing 1:1 support to a child living with SEND. The child has cerebral palsy, communicates via a PLOD system, is tube-fed and mobile with the use of a walking frame or wheelchair. We are seeking someone who has experience of supporting children with similar needs and who is available to work on Wednesdays and Fridays, 8.30am-5.30pm. The contract is being offered on a rolling fixed term basis (12 weekly) subject to LA funding continuing and the child's on-going attendance at the nursery.
We welcome applications from qualified and unqualified candidates who have relevant experience working with children with SEND. The pay rate being offered is £8.72-£8.82 per hour if you're unqualified, £8.76-£8.87 per hour if you're qualified to level 2 in early years, and £10.00-£11.50 per hour if you're qualified to level 3 or above.
You will work as part of a team to deliver high quality standards of care, promote partnerships with families and ensure every child thrives in a safe and secure environment. You will plan to meet the child's individual needs following the EYFS framework and provide them, and every other child is the care of the nursery, with a ‘Sound Foundation’ for life.
