Variety is key to job satisfaction, and that is true of our OHA roles. Not only will you see an assortment of clients, but also a mix of working onsite to undertake assessments, as well as working from home on diverse range of cases; no two days are the same. As such, you must be comfortable with a degree of travel as part of your working week.
An Occupational Health role at AXA will see you undertaking case management & management referrals in person and over the phone; not forgetting the all-important pragmatic management advice letters. Additionally, the onsite Health Surveillance element will include HAVS, lung function testing and health questionnaires.
You must be a qualified and registered nurse, ideally with a diploma or certificate in Occupational Health but this is flexible. It would be advantageous to have experience in a commercial occupational health setting, particularly with exposure to case management/health surveillance; however, we’re very happy to consider nurses coming from a triage environment where they’ve had exposure to an extensive variety of cases.
Like you, we take our duty of care to our clients as paramount. Initially, it is essential all records are accurate and comply with NMC standards, and everyone feels comfortable working to agreed service levels. Secondly, self-assured conversations with the client’s HR team and line managers are highly valued. Finally, providing practical real-world advice on compliance within current legislation where required.
