Who We Are: 

Sensate’s mission is to bring stress resilience and wellbeing to people from all walks of life, using powerful methods and groundbreaking technology. 

Based on decades of experience working with stress and trauma-related conditions and technology, we’re bringing a vagus nerve toning system to the mass market that will empower consumers to improve a wide range of conditions including anxiety, insomnia and migraines. 

How and Where We Work:

Bioself Technology is the company that creates the Sensate. Our team has a base in London and one in LA but we all work a significant portion of our time from home. Our app developers and customer services reps are home-based in the USA or Europe. About half of our team works part-time on personalized schedules in order to best support their work/life balance and maximize their productivity. The core team works closely to collaborate on high-priority items based on needs and agendas.

We are also working to build a distributed-ownership company model (we aspire to be a Teal organization) so we’re not too into our titles and recognize we have different areas of expertise and responsibilities.

Who You Are (the right fit!):

You are solutions-driven and pragmatic. You are process-oriented and love sorting out logistics, coordinating between teams, and finding opportunities for operational efficiency. With a unique mix of business and management experience, you have developed significant proficiency with best practices, policies, and procedures. You are detail oriented and love to automate and integrate systems to ensure the records are straight. You don’t mind wearing many-hats and thrive when you can tap into your multifaceted skill sets. You have a strong skill set and the ability to approach business from a creative point of view. You are excited to jump into the logistics and operations of a young start-up and manage business processes as well as relationships with fulfilment and distribution partners. 

You have:

  • Experience managing direct inbound and outbound logistics operations such as fulfillment , warehouse activities, or quality management
  • Sourcing and supplier management including negotiation and contract management 
  • Significant experience with operations and budget management
  • Experience working with financial modeling and projections
  • Significant experience integrating and working with platforms such as Shopify, Zendesk, Xero, Zapier, as well as various inventory and fulfilment systems

The job to be done: 

You will be part of our team! This means that we’re all involved in the fast-paced evolution of an early-stage company on a great mission. As the lead for operations, you will maintain and build trusted relationships with key partners. Liaising with the CTO to manage component orders for production as well as inventory will be a key responsibility of this role. You will manage supplier relationships including contractual and legal negotiations, to include overall contract management. You will also be responsible for overseeing the process of sourcing, designing and executing bespoke packaging and supporting products for Sensate. These duties will include managing specs, cost, and quality as well as coordinating design, sourcing, managing suppliers, and managing inventory. 

As part of order fulfillment, the Operations Lead will oversee logistics, inventory management, shipping, and customs processes. Sourcing fulfilment partners for our key distribution regions will be one of the first tasks at hand. In this capacity, you will be responsible for managing regulations according to various localities and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The Operations Lead is a critical role in the business. You’ll work closely with senior management to optimize, integrate and automate processes. Your ability to manage a wider set of supplier contracts, have input on key partnership agreements and roll up your sleeves to help with the very varied range of tasks as part of the shared ownership of the future of the company will be as welcome as necessary.
