Job Description
The Senior CAREGiver is expected to support the Compliance Coordinator and Registered Care Manager by performing a variety of quality assurance activities, as well as deliver care, in order to provide the highest quality service to Home Instead Senior Care clients.
The Role:
· Deliver Companionship, Home Help and Personal Care services to our clients
· Generally supporting Home Instead CAREGivers out in the field when required, e.g. support CAREGivers in implementing new or changing care packages
· Carry out supervisions and support visits for CAREGivers
· Liaise as necessary with the Care Manager in regard to CAREGiver development (development of their PDP)
· Communicate results and actions from the above support measures with the office team and complete appropriate documentation in line with Home Instead requirements
· Take a leading role in starting the services of new clients, e.g. introducing CAREGiver to client
· Assess and review of client needs during service review visits
· Support the team by being part of the on-call rota (see separate pay for that)
· Continuously work to help maintain a fully compliant office
· Promote a professional image of Home Instead Senior Care at all times
Qualifications
Experience of interacting or working with elderly people either paid or unpaid
NVQ Level 2 in a related field
Willing to take part in training courses, including NVQ
Good standard of oral and written English
Ability to support clients in their own homes and maintain clients’ independence
Ability to follow instructions and local policies and procedures
A full driving license
Flexibility and willingness to work unsocial hours including night shifts
