Our Service User is a gentleman who sustained a brain injury as the result of a car accident. He lives with his family in Edinburgh. He loves spending time tending to his allotment, fishing, darts, pool, and enjoys escorted day trips and visits to the gym.
We are looking for a part-time Support Worker who has an insight into working in the family home and the ability to adapt to this unique working environment. Are you compassionate, patient, friendly and empathetic? Are you the kind of person who wants to add real value to someone’s life? Do you have excellent communication skills, tact and diplomacy? You will be part of a small team providing high quality care and support to our Service User. Your main duties will include supervision his personal hygiene routine, assistance with food preparation and household chores, planning and escorting on excursions in and around Edinburgh, and accompanying him on visits to the gym.
Shifts are 8 hours long, starting between 9 and 11am (with a degree of flexibility), covering 7 days per week.
