Part Time Variable Hours Tutor of Sociology

 

About the role

 

Part time variable hour tutors are required to deliver on the AQA Sociology at AS level. We are looking for flexible, experienced teachers to contribute to a large and successful department team. Applicants will be student focused, passionate about their subject and have some teaching experience. The ability to teach across other programmes within Humanities and Social Science would be advantageous.

As a PTVH Tutor in Sociology you will plan, prepare and deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment, including any necessary preparation and marking.

About the person

You will need recent/current industrial experience along with a relevant industrial / professional / academic qualification and a Level 4 Teaching Qualification or above (or willingness to achieve this within 2 years as per the College’s Teacher Qualification Policy).

Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative. The willingness and ability to teach across a mixed range of programmes is also essential.
